Welcome!

Thank you for following me blog! I can't wait to share all of my adventures in Asia with you all! I started my Thai language classes last week. They are very hard, but I know they will help me when I depart in  8 short weeks!
The photo below is of the school I will be teaching in. Although it is only an elementary school, it has 2,800 students. I know teaching at a school this large will definitely be an adventure!

Sports Day at Anuban Saraburi!

Hello Everyone!  I know it's been so long since I blogged! So, I will be trying to send out a few blogs to catch up in the next couple days! My family came to visit, I took 9 days off, and now I am swamped with giving 8 midterms to 35 students, so I apologize for my blogging absence. :) I wanted to write a blog about the amazing spectacle that is Sports Day in Thailand! When I was told "Teacha, we have sports day in 2 weeks. Students miss many class and we have no teaching all day on sports day," I was confused, but I happily obliged. Many times our morning assembly (which is all in Thai, aka I can't understand it) the  entire 3,000 student body would start running to 4 corners of our giant school field. I quickly realized the entire school is split into 4 colors in kindergarten; red, yellow, green and blue. American Education vs Thai Edcuation

**Disclaimer: This is written about my personal experiences and observances about education in both countries. Although this is my perspective, it may not be the same for everyone.** Education. It's a big topic that can bring out many emotions and opinions in people. I love learning about education in different cities, states, and countries. Teaching here in Thailand has shown me an entire different approach and style of education/ learning.
